Ryli Beef and Grains Limited


Ryli Beef and Grains (RBG) Limited is a Zambian owned and its core business involves producing, fattening, processing and marketing of livestock. RBG produces livestock on its own farms and buys livestock (mostly cattle weaners but also goats, lamb and poultry) from 150 small holder farmers. RBG buys grains and legumes from 60 farmers (21 of these also supply livestock) which are processed into feed and used to fatten the cattle.

Plant Health Agri Limited


Lusaka based Plant Health Agri Ltd (PHAL) is a Zambian owned private company. Its core business is to import and distribute crop protection and nutritional products to large scale farmers (90% of revenue in 2021) and smallholder farmers (10% of revenue in 2021). PHAL aims to increase smallholder farmers revenue share to 60%. To assist sales, PHAL provides extension services on Good Agricultural Practices. PHAL reaches smallholder farmers through agro-dealers where their products are stocked. It also supplies products through the government’s Farmer Input Support Program and participates in field days along with other input providers. Its sales represent 1.2% of the Zambian market.

Nokamu Enterprises Limited


Nokamu Enterprises Limited (hereafter referred to as  ‘Nokamu’) was founded in 2006 as a printing bureau and office supplies business. The company was incorporated in 2010, diversifying into agriculture in 2016.

Based in Chipata, Nokamu operates agri-input sales outlets in 8 districts of Eastern province. These outlets sell a range of seed, feed, fertilisers and chemicals, serving around 6,000 farmers per year.

Growmore Technologies Limited


Growmore Technologies Limited (‘Growmore’) is a supplier of agricultural, industrial and irrigation equipment, established in 2018. The company has 53 employees and is headquartered in Kitwe with branches in Solwezi, Ndola and Lusaka.

Growmore supplies both commercial farmers and smallholder farmers with a range of equipment, providing after-sales support and maintenance services to its customers.

Kamano Seed Company Limited


Kamano Seed is an indigenous Zambian Seed business and is registered with SCCI, a regulatory wing of the Ministry of Agriculture that supervises the production and distribution of seed in Zambia. It has been operating since 2004. Kamano’s focus is on the production and supply of climate-smart resilient seed products. Kamano works with smallholder farmers at the village level, particularly women and youths, through training in agro-business, seed supply, as well as out-grower schemes which have dedicated field officers to offer agronomy advice.

Nash Import & Export Ltd trading as Yatu Foods


Nash Import & Export is a trading and production company, trading as Yatu Foods. It was established in 2000 and initially only focused on imports of commodities and products mainly for the mining sector. In 2006 it started producing its own tea brand (Yatu Tea Premium Tea Blend). In the recent years, Yatu has added other products for distribution such as bread and mineral water.

Twala Farming Trading as the Anthill Kitchen


Twala Farming is located about 22 km south of Mkushi town in Central Province. The main crops produced by the company are soybean and barley. The company also produces bananas which they process into green banana flour for sale through retail outlets including supermarkets – Shoprite and Pick ‘n Pay. Twala Farming uses crop waste to produce compost which it uses in its banana plantation thereby avoiding the use of synthetic fertilisers.
